Description

[:en]Iris Agate (#IrisAgate) is a thin banded, translucent chalcedony that resolves transmitted light into spectral colors. “iris” means “rainbow” or “iridescent”, and is derived from the name of the Greek goddess of the rainbow.

“Rainbow Iris Agate“. It is a noble agate, but its output is even rarer. It is the only agate with optical effects in the world. Rainbow agate is the use of light transmission to produce diffraction to present spectral colors.
Most agates do not appear halo effect, but the agates that can appear halo effect have the characteristics of relatively good transparency and fine strips.

「彩虹瑪瑙 」. 屬瑪瑙中既貴族，但產量更加稀少罕有，係全球瑪瑙中唯一具有光學效應的。彩虹瑪瑙是利用光線透射產生衍射呈現光譜色。
多數瑪瑙並不出現暈彩效應，而能夠出現暈彩效應的瑪瑙具有透明度相對較好、條帶細膩的特點。
