Description
Iris Agate (#IrisAgate) is a thin banded, translucent chalcedony that resolves transmitted light into spectral colors. “iris” means “rainbow” or “iridescent”, and is derived from the name of the Greek goddess of the rainbow.
“Rainbow Iris Agate“. It is a noble agate, but its output is even rarer. It is the only agate with optical effects in the world. Rainbow agate is the use of light transmission to produce diffraction to present spectral colors.
Most agates do not appear halo effect, but the agates that can appear halo effect have the characteristics of relatively good transparency and fine strips.
