Discovered in Namibia in 1962 and named after its discoverer, Sydney Pieters.

Peterstone is a variant of tiger’s eye stone. Its predecessor is siliceous wool. Due to the phenomenon of brecciation caused by formation pressure, peterite mostly presents the hue of tiger’s eye stone, with gold, yellow, blue, red and other colors, that is, several colors. The colors are evenly pressed into waves or spirals.

彼得石是虎眼石的變種，前身是硅化石棉，由於地層壓力做成角礫化的現象，因此彼得石多呈現如虎眼石的色調，有金、黃、藍、紅等顏色，即是幾種顏色均勻地壓成成波浪紋或螺旋紋。
